The History and Mission of St. James Nursery School
St. James Nursery School has been providing quality early learning experiences for pre
schoolers for more than 38 years in the Lakes region. We operate as a non-denominational, non-profit, licensed preschool for children ages 3 to 5 years old.
At St. James, our mission is to offer a preschool program which fosters independence, creativity and personal responsibility while nurturing a child's love of learning in an environment of acceptance, understanding and mutual respect.
Additionally, we emphasize holistic play in a safe, natural environment recognizing that children truly benefit by connecting with the natural world. We are currently developing a nature trail on site that will provide children the opportunity to explore in a wooded environment.
